Over $250 donated to the "Walk to End Alzheimer's"
Last week the Republic of Texas Big Band donated their time and talent for the event "Dance for the Walk", a fundraiser to help end Alzheimer's. The band lead by Kent Dugan has an amazing "swing" sound and can be contacted at 512-401-3233. David Cummings and Lisa Clark provided the vocals and Natalie Cummings prepared a special song with her father!
Many local Lakeway residents joined in the fun and donated for the cause. Charlie Goff pictured above was the youngest, he attended with his parents, grand parents and great grandparents! Quite a party was had by all!
The Lakeway Supporter team is getting geared up for the 3 mile walk to be held on Oct 27th. It is not too late to join the team! Please visit www.alzgive.org/cyndicummings.
Several local businesses helped to defray the costs for the event and without their support the event would not have happened!
If you need services for seniors- please connect directly with this great people!
